Pipu Boosabok
Assistant to the President, Silpakorn University,Thailand

Pipu Boosabok, male, Thai nationality, holds a Ph.D. in History from the Research School for Southeast Asian Studies, Xiamen University,China. Currently serves as Assistant to the President of Silpakorn University, responsible for budgeting, information technology, and risk management, and oversees the Office of Planning and Development. Also, a faculty member in the Department of History, Faculty of Arts, and a doctoral advisor in two academic areas: History and Culture-Based Design Arts.

Concurrent roles include Research Fellow at the Institute of Thai Studies, ASEAN College, Guangxi University for Nationalities; Committee Member of the Historical Society under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn; Expert Committee Member of the Corporate Governance and Risk Management Committee of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand; Expert Committee Member of the Knowledge and Innovation Management Committee of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand; and Vice President and Secretary-General of the Chinese Language and Culture Promotion Association in Thailand.

Previous positions include Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Asian Studies, Acting Director of the University Council Office, and Assistant Secretary to the University Council at Silpakorn University.


Xiao Huang
Xiao Huang
Professor at Krirk University, Bangkok, Thailand

Dr. Huang Xiao serves as a professor and postgraduate mentor at the International College of The Arts, Krirk University, Thailand, while also contributing as a guest writer for IECE journals. Following her graduation from Fudan University with a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and World Literature, she was honored with an invitation to serve as a postdoctoral research fellow at Brigham Young University (USA), where she focused on comparative studies of heterogeneous civilizations. Subsequently, she has been invited to impart her expertise and conduct advanced research at several esteemed institutions, including IICES. Inc (USA), Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland), the University of Ocean (Chile), the Technology University of Puebla (Mexico), and Krirk University (Thailand). Her scholarly pursuits and research domains encompass contemporary art, aesthetic theory, hermeneutics, and cultural studies, reflecting her profound engagement with interdisciplinary and cross-cultural academic explorations.

Xiaomin Wu , doctoral supervisor of design discipline. 

Director of the Yuanmingyuan Research Center of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Deputy director of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Expert member of the Academic Committee for the Protection of Famous Historical and Cultural Cities in Beijing. Expert member of the Expert Committee of the Beijing Central Axis Museum. Director of the Beijing Ancient Capital Society. Serves as the editor-in-chief of the architecture discipline of the Encyclopedia of Chinese Fine Arts. Curatorial expert of the Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall. Director of the Beijing Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Association. 

As an expert in digital restoration design of ancient Chinese architecture, he has long been engaged in digital restoration design of Ming and Qing architecture and gardens, construction of Ming and Qing official architecture database and design of cultural relic digital museums.


Young Jae Kim
Young Jae Kim
A professorship at the Korea National University of Heritage and is a UNESCO Chairholder.

He is a UNESCO Chairholder specializing in Capacity Building for the Preservation and Restoration of Asia-Pacific Cultural Heritage. He is an eminent scholar in the field of historical architecture and urban studies, harnesses insights from cultural heritages in his research. He was awarded a PhD in the history and theory of architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. 

His research spans a broad spectrum, encompassing design principles and interpretations of architecture from ancient to contemporary periods, ranging from universal to local styles. He also explores the cultural landscapes of architectural and urban heritage, the utilization of Historic Building Information Modeling (HBIM) and archival practices for heritage sites, and devises strategies for heritage conservation in response to climate change. Furthermore, he delves into the conservation principles and philosophies of heritage based on hermeneutics, where he has established himself as a pioneer. Among his published works are articles in the International Journal of Heritage Studies, International Journal of Architectural Heritage, Frontiers of Architectural Research, Religions, Korea Journal, and the Journal of Asian Architecture and Building Engineering.

He is a member of the National Major Theme Art Creation Art Committee of China Artists Association and vice chairman of Jiangsu Artists Association.

He has won the gold, silver and bronze awards of the "China Art Award" (the highest award of Chinese art) at the China National Art Exhibition and the gold award of the "2015 China Hundred Jinling Painting Exhibition (Oil Painting) ". Winner of the 4th "Zijin Culture Medal".

Research Interests: Art Science Innovation Industry Operation Management Research/Environmental Art Design Planning and Management Research

Main results:Undertook the construction and operation of the innovative research and development platform for the integration of art and science at Tsinghua University. As a member of the Core Group of the World Expo Research Center of Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts, he participated in the design of the China Pavilion at the 2015 Italian Expo, and won many major awards including the "World Expo Pavilion Heritage Award" for Outstanding Circular Utilization, the "China Interior Design Biennial" Gold Award of the China Interior Decoration Association, and the "China Environmental Art Award" of the China Construction and Cultural Art Association. As the general consultant of environmental art design in Beijing's urban core area, he presided over the environmental art and neighborhood brand design of key blocks such as Wangfujing and Guijie, and was selected as the "Excellent Case of Best Practice in Beijing Urban Renewal". As the chief designer, he presided over the design of the Gulangyu series of community museums to help Gulangyu successfully win the title of World Cultural Heritage. The teaching achievement of environmental art design won the second prize of China's national teaching achievement. Won the nomination award of the 5th China Publishing Government Award.

Dr Yong Xiang is a Professor of the School of Arts at Peking University (SAPKU) and Dean of the Institute for Cultural Industries at Peking University (ICIPKU), where he is leader of Cultural Economics and Creative Management Project. His academic interest is focusing on cultural & creative industries, management of the art, culture and creativity. He has visited some universities in USA, UK, Italy, Australia, Japan, South Korea in these years. He was Academic Visitor, Judge Business School, the University of Cambridge (2010-2011),and visiting scholar at Faculty of Economics Marco Biagi, University of Modena, Reggio Emilia(Otc.2010), Italy. He was Honorary Visiting Professor of Business School at London Metropolitan University from 2010 to 2013, Guest Professor to The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2019.He is a senior cultural and creative industries (CCIs) consultant to the governments, companies and institutions in China and UNCTAD. He was awarded one of the Top 10 Excellent Scholars of CCI in China in 2012. He is co-editors of China Cultural and Creative Industries Reports 2013, which is published by Springer and is a joint founder of the International Association of Culture and Creative Industries (London, HongKong), Member of the Advisory Committee of the International Center for Creativity and Sustainable Development under the auspices of UNESCO Since 2019. He is UNESCO Chairholder on Creativity and Sustainable Development in Rural Areas Since 2024.

Haipeng Tian

Tian Haipeng is a professor and master's and doctoral supervisor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, founder and direction leader of home product design, director of local design research studio, and director of the Traditional Crafts Workstation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism stationed in Chengdu, Sichuan. Long term commitment to promoting the development of the design discipline and researching the context of localized design in China, exploring the training path for Chinese design talents in the new era.

Yi Liang

Dean of the Mural Painting Department of China Academy of Art

After graduating from the Oil Painting Department of the China Academy of Art in 1998, Liang Yi furthered his study at the Graduate School of the University of Washington and later, he achieved the Ph.D. degree in Chinese Painting Theory and Practice. Currently, Liang is working as the director of the Mural Painting Department of China Academy of Art. With his contemporary consciousness in painting, he combined the long scroll form of Chinese Painting with the characteristics of contemporary installation art, presenting artistic features from installation painting to mural painting, from lightness with elegance to lightness with tranquility in both depiction of western and Oriental context. Liang has been not only devoting himself to the re-construction of mural paintings in temples, but seeking to innovate contemporary murals as public art. In his works for sites like the main venue of G20 forum, Liang integrated public arts with serial images and space. From these creations, he presents the innovation consciousness of artist in this era and new possibilities of contemporary oriental art creation.


Raz Barfield

Head of Advanced Programmes in the School of Visual Arts at The City Literary Institute, London.

Raz Barfield has a long and successful track-record of internationalization and transnational education in the creative arts, having worked at several leading UK art schools over the last 25 years, including University of the Arts London, the Glasgow School of Art and the University of Salford/MediaCity UK. In his roles at these institutions and others, he has led the development of transnational education partnerships, predominantly in east and south-east Asia. This includes establishing academic cooperation models and programs with many of the top art and design academies in China, including The Central Academy of Fine Arts, The Academy of Art and Design at Tsinghua University, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, where he is a visiting professor. As an Associate Dean International and Professor of Transnational Creative Education, he has been central to the development of multiple bi-lateral education models at Foundation, Bachelors, Pre-Masters and Masters level, as well as the establishment of overseas campuses. Through his research into educational cultures, he has gained extensive experience and insight, enabling him to develop new academic programs and pedagogical models, in which mutual understanding of respective cultures of creative education and research is central. He is currently Head of the Centre for Advanced Practice and Head of Advanced Programmes in the School of Visual Arts at The City Literary Institute, London.
